All cities and counties are required to adopt a Housing Element every eight years. The Housing Element must include goals, policies, and objectives for the preservation, improvement and development of housing to meet the City’s Regional Housing Needs Allocation.

For the 6th Cycle Housing Element (2021-2029), the City’s and County partnered together to create a Countywide Housing Element.

In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, a Draft Initial Study/Negative Declaration has been prepared to study any impacts related to the Housing Element.

The Draft Housing Element and Draft Initial Study/Negative Declaration is now ready for public review.

Documents can be viewed below or you may also come into City Hall located at 9426 Main Street, Plymouth CA to review a copy of both.

Draft Initial Study/Negative Declaration

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:30 PM on Thursday December 19, 2024, at City Hall, to review any public comments submitted and to make a recommendation to the City Council. A date for the City Council meeting has not been established yet.

The Housing Element was on the agenda of the City Council Meeting of January 9, 2025.  At that meeting the below Resolutions were passed and adopted.
