POOL, PARKS, & RECREATION

The City of Plymouth is a member of the Amador County Recreation Agency (ACRA), a joint powers authority whose mission is “to maximize recreation opportunities for all the people in all the areas of Amador County by working collaboratively and thinking regionally.”

Pool

Plymouth Veterans Memorial
Swimming Pool

Plymouth has the nicest pool in Amador County!  This pool was able to be restored due to generous donations from the community making it one of Plymouth’s true gems.  The pool opens in June and runs into August.  Open Tuesday – Saturday.  Hours of operation: Day Swim 1-6, Weekends 12-6.

 

Parks

No tobacco or alcohol is allowed in any park in the city limits of Plymouth

McGee Park

 – Come and enjoy McGee Park on Main Street in Plymouth!  This is a great place for a picnic, relaxing or to have a celebration.  The gazebo has been recently painted and is ready for you to enjoy.

McGee Park is a public park.  You can have small parties in the park without a Special Event Permit, but bounce houses and bodies of water are prohibited.

If you are planning an event at McGee Park please email us at specialevents@cityofplymouth.org and turn in a Special Event Application 90 days prior to the event.

Sharkey Park

– This playground is next to McGee Park on Main Street and was dedicated in memory of Milos “Sharkey” Begovich.  It is a great place for kids to run around and play.

Veterans Park

 – Veterans Park is currently a wide-open area to enjoy with a gazebo for picnics.

Located at 18358 Empire Street

This park is in the planning stages of a major overhaul to be a place that honors District 5 Veterans from Amador County.  For more information about the renovations please visit the website below.

Vintner Park

– Vintner Park is a wide-open area with a play structure for kids 2-5 years old and a swing area for kids 5-12 years old.  There are also picnic tables and a bocce ball court to enjoy.

Plymouth Library

Plymouth Library – The Plymouth Library located at

9369 Main Street is a quiet place to find a good book.

Rent a Facility

Lodge Hill Park 

Lodge Hill can be rented out for parties, weddings, meetings and more.  There is a daily rental fee, a deposit is required, and insurance will need to be taken out in order to rent Lodge Hill.
