Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT)
The Transient Occupancy Tax that is collected from people staying in our city goes towards roads, signs, and grant funding that benefits Plymouth directly.
Transient occupancy tax is charged to travelers when they rent accommodations in a hotel, inn, Airbnb, VBRO, tourist home or motel. The 10% tax is to be collected at the time that payment is made for the accommodation, and it is then remitted by the lodging operator to the City of Plymouth.
Payments to the City are due quarterly. Thank you to all of our lodging operators for helping our city.
